ACES Deploys the Middle East’s First Fully Operational O-RAN Neutral Host Indoor 4G/5G Small Cell Site at KAFD
ACES is proud to announce the successful deployment of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East’s first fully operational O-RAN-based neutral host multi-operator indoor 4G/5G small cell site at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Riyadh, delivered in partnership with Mavenir, in collaboration with Saudi MCIT and mobile network operators including Mobily.
The deployment introduces a shared O-RAN indoor small cell architecture employing Split 7.2, operating in the n78 band with 4×4 MIMO and Band 1, & Band 3 with a 2×2 MIMO configuration, enabling multiple operators to deliver independent 4G and 5G services over a common infrastructure while maintaining full operational separation.
ACES recognizes the valuable support of MCIT and NTDP in enabling this milestone and advancing O-RAN innovation in Saudi Arabia.
